How To Make   Mangalorean Fish Fry At Home

1. Prepare Ingredients

In a bowl, mix red chili powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, ginger-garlic paste, lemon juice, and salt to form a thick paste. Adjust the spice levels according to your taste. 

2. Marinate the Fish

Coat the fish slices evenly with the prepared marinade. Ensure that both sides of the fish are well coated. For the best flavor, allow the fish to marinate for at least 30 minutes in the refrigerator.  

3. Heat the Oil

Take a frying pan or skillet and add enough oil for shallow frying. Heat the oil over medium heat until it's hot enough for frying. 

4. Coat with Rice Flour

If you prefer a crispy texture, you can lightly coat the marinated fish with rice flour before frying. 

5. Fry the Fish

Once the oil is hot, carefully place the marinated fish slices in the pan. Fry them for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until they turn golden brown and crisp.  

6. Drain Excess Oil

Once fried, place the fish on a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil. This helps in removing any excess oil from the fried fish. 

7. Serve Hot
